Standing 5 ft 9.5 inches (177 cm) tall and wearing a simple looks like a Jacket,
T-shirt, Jeans and some heels will always make me look stylish in all season. Similar to wearing all black.
I love styling. I am always eager to reinvent, revamp and radiate.
My style is built on a self-esteem boost,
body language, self confidence, inner self-talk, solid foundation of classic piece, great accessories, and some basic rules.
My closet only holds pieces that flatter my silhouette and that are consistent with my personal style.
You can be like me and update your wardrobe this season with just cotton materials... Breathable always look good in every season.
My style is inspired by everything. I take inspiration from magazines, the high streets and the runway. I love being able to merge the three seamlessly to create my own eclectic style.
I don‘t like boundaries, I wear what I want. I like mixing masculine and feminine and playing with texture and shades to create a style that is unapologetic my own.
There are three different types of colors: PRIMARY(Red, Yellow, Blue) SECONDARY(Green, Orange, Purple)
TERTIARY( Color made by mixing colors)
Color plays a vital role in fashion.
Darker colors like Black tend to minimize the appearance of things and Brighter colors tend to maximize the appearance of things
and also keep in mind that patterns, ruffles , pockets in certain areas also tend to maximize the appearance of things.
Body shape basically refers to your curves and measurements. There are zillion of shapes out there but let’s focus on:
PEAR: Hip wider than bust and waist
APPLE: Waist undefined. Round silhouette
STRAIGHT: Rectangle. Bust/hip/waist similar
INVERTED TRIANGLE: Opposite of the pear shape holding your highest weight in your bust
HOURGLASS: Bust & hip around the same & waist is defined.
The human eye is naturally drawn to symmetry and symmetrical things. If you figure out which body shape you are, then you can figure out how to balance out your outfit symmetrically.
STYLE Is an expression that lasts over many seasons, and is often connected to cultural movements and social markers, symbols, class and culture.
Style is simply a manner or doing something.
FASHION is a popular trend especially in style dress made into a particular or required form in a certain time and context, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, hairstyle and body proportion. It is an industry-supported expression traditionally tied to fashion season and collections.
TREND often connotes a very specific aesthetic expression, lasting shorter than a season.
It’s really difficult to keep up with the runway celebrities, influencers and street styles. There are trends out there that are not practical...but hey! If you like to indulge and are daring, go for it.
Style is not something you buy! Yes, anyone with a credit card can stroll into any designer store and emerge looking like Fashion with the capital F-covered head-to-toe in labels.
That’s not necessarily what truly stylish people do.
A truly stylish person will take nondescript pieces and style them in such a way that their whole look is completely enviable.
There is nothing quite like the feeling of wearing clothes designed specifically for you. It’s style at it’s finest. I am not a fan of mass customization.
When people hear “custom made”...they immediately think expensive...or unnecessary...I love custom made because my height, sleeve length, length of my legs, demands most of my outfits to be made. I am very particular about the length of my sleeves and the length of my pants.
One D.I.Y project I tend to do often, is revamping my outfits, Switching out buttons, changing buckles or adding appliqué s to recreate a totally new outfit.
A needle and thread... That’s all it takes to solve some of life’s everyday problems: a missing button, a fraying seam, a hole in need of patching up. And that’s just the basic.
Sewing is a craft and is one of the oldest of the textile arts.
Most clothing today are mass-produced, and conforms to standard sizing based on body measurements that are intended to fit the greatest proportion of the population
